- Environmental Impact Studies
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a technical and administrative process born in the U.S. in the ’70s with the goal of analyzing the impact on the environmental matrix (man, water, air, soil and subsoil, landscape, flora, fauna, cultural and social heritage) on the basis of the preventive action principle, according to which the best policy is to avoid pollution and other disturbances from the beginning rather than subsequently trying to counteract their effects. The EIA process also allows you to share the decision-making process with all stakeholders (public and private proponents, authorities and local communities).
- Strategic Environmental Assessment
A conceptual application of the EIA is the process of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) applied to improve the performance of plans and development program in achieving the environmental objectives and the sustainable management of resources.
- Impact Assessment upon Natura 2000 site according European Habitat Directives
This impact assessment evaluation process is defined as a preventative measure to understand the impact of plans and programs falling or having potential significant effect upon European Natura 2000 sites according European Habitats Directive
